Arden Park is a neighborhood in Arden-Arcade, which is home to several of Sacramento’s more affluent communities. Known as Sacramento’s first independent park and recreation district, the creation of Arden Park began with a petition filed on October 29, 1949. The area was formally recognized as a park district after a resolution was passed in November 1957, which officially named it the “Arden Park Recreation and Park District.”
